Jeremiah 5:3 - La Biblia de las Americas

Oh, SEÑOR, ¿no buscan tus ojos la verdad?
Tù los heriste,
mas no les doliò;
tù los consumiste,
mas ellos rehusaron recibir correcciòn.
Endurecieron sus rostros más que la roca,
rehusaron arrepentirse.

Jeremiah 5:3 - The Message

But you, God,
   you have an eye for truth, don’t you?
You hit them hard, but it didn’t faze them.
   You disciplined them, but they refused correction.
Hardheaded, harder than rock,
   they wouldn’t change.
Then I said to myself, "Well, these are just poor people.
   They don’t know any better.
They were never taught anything about God.
   They never went to prayer meetings.
I’ll find some people from the best families.
   I’ll talk to them.
They’ll know what’s going on, the way God works.
   They’ll know the score."
But they were no better! Rebels all!
   Off doing their own thing.
The invaders are ready to pounce and kill,
   like a mountain lion, a wilderness wolf,
Panthers on the prowl.
   The streets aren’t safe anymore.
And why? Because the people’s sins are piled sky-high;
   their betrayals are past counting.

Jeremiah 5:3 - New American Standard Bible

O LORD, do not Your eyes {look} for truth? You have smitten them, {But} they did not weaken; You have consumed them, But they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to repent.

Jeremiah 5:3 - Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy

Oh, SEÑOR, ¿no buscan Tus ojos la verdad?
Tù los heriste,
Mas no les doliò;
Tù los consumiste,
Mas ellos rehusaron recibir correcciòn.
Endurecieron sus rostros más que la roca,
Rehusaron arrepentirse.

Jeremiah 5:3 - World English Bible

O Yahweh, don`t your eyes look on truth? you have stricken them, but they were not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Jeremiah 5:3 - Young's Living Translation

Jehovah, Thine eyes, are they not on stedfastness? Thou hast smitten them, and they have not grieved, Thou hast consumed them, They have refused to receive instruction, They made their faces harder than a rock, They have refused to turn back.

Jeremiah 5:3 - Additional Comments

How hard they have become. God has punished them over and over again, to wake them up, to get them to come back to Him. But they are so hardened, they refuse to come back to Him.
