The world is dark. Christ shines His light in the darkness, in the world, and the world does not understand. No wonder they don't embrace Him.
But God says He did reveal Himself to all - Rom 1:19-20, so they are without excuse.
Amazing how the light so shines before men and yet they do not recognize it for what it is. They do see the light, but don't understand it. Job 33:14 - For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.
