Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

Jacob's well was 75 ft. deep.
The sixth hour may have been either 6 pm (Roman time) or 12 pm (Jewish time). After this conversation Jesus stayed there 2 days (vs 40).
Note the humanity of Jesus, that he became wearied and thirsty. Christ subjected himself to the curse of man, that toil is required (Gen 3:19).
Note also his status, that he was poor, for he always traveled on foot. With all that we have, we should remember how Jesus lived, the status he took (remember, Hi was a choice).
