John 9:16

Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

The Pharisees' man-made laws had become so strict that they considered anyone breaking them to be in rebellion to God, no matter what for. We need to be careful not to infiltrate man-made laws into the laws of God, in any denomination. (E.g. can only eat fish on Friday?)
How sad that the Pharisees were so blind that they could not rejoice with this man. There are so many people today who are so hardened, so blind, that they cannot see the light of Jesus, no matter what is laid before them. (Rex)
