Luke 15:8 - Additional Comments

Every coin is precious, just as every person is precious to God. There is none that escape that God does not grieve over. We should grieve the same way for the lost, and seek that they may be found. Alas, those who are lost act more like the prodigal son, than the lost sheep or coin, since they choose to stay away.
Some might not understand the value of the coin to the owner, just as we don't fully understand the value of those who repent to God.
Look at all the means the owner uses to find the coin. How many circumstances does God use in the lives of the lost to bring them to him, that they continue to ignore? God loves to make himself visible to people, yet they continue to ignore Him. We should not be surprised when we see God's work in people's lives, and wonder why they ignore Him, since they do not see God's work in their lives.
