Luke 15:7 - Additional Comments

Jesus is saying this to show the Pharisees and scribes that heaven will more gladly receive those they disdain, the tax collectors and sinners, than themselves (if they even made it there!).
From here we draw the term that those without repentance are "lost", and those who have repented are "found". The world may mock at those terms, but those are the same terms Jesus used.
Some wonder why God made man, knowing they would rebel against Him, and all the pain they would cause. See "The Choice", in Max Lucado's "In the Eye of the Storm". God's joy is in seeing a person repent and choose to come to Him, to love Him, more than countless numbers of people who never needed to repent.
