Luke 19:47

And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

Jesus arrived on a Sunday, and was arrested on the next Thursday night, so he still had a lot of teaching to do (see Chs 20-21).
Note he replaced the buying and selling (vss 45-46) with what should be there - teaching (and prayer).
