Luke 19:9

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

His faith was like the faith of Abraham (Rom 4:9), so he could be called a true son of Abraham.
Note that Zacchaeus, as filthy of a sinner as he was, with repentance, he was cleansed. No matter what the sin, with repentance you will be cleansed.
