Note that the angels directly reveal at this point who this child is - the Christ, the Messiah.
Here is born Christ the Lord. How long, how many years, the Jewish people had waited for this! Also, during Moses day, how long the people had waited for deliverance! We cannot know God's timing - we can only trust Him in the timing. And it might not make sense to us.
Who is this child? The same one spoken of in Isaiah 9:6, in which it also refers to Him as "Mighty God" and "Eternal Father".
