And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.

Look how many came out for this event. Here it is described as a multitude. Verse 52 says there were "chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders". Matt 26:47 and vs 52 says they came with swords and clubs. John 18:3 says Judas came with a detachment of troops.
