Mark 13:2 - Additional Comments

Jesus, while man, was still God, because He knew what was to come.
Jesus may have been thinking that if you think this is something, wait until you see what's to come!
In Matthew 23:38 Jesus had pronounced a coming desolation upon the temple.
Roman rule over Jerusalem and the region began to be challenged with the First Jewish-Roman War (sometimes called The Great Revolt), which resulted in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple in 70 AD. Nero fell from power around 68 AD. The fall of Jerusalem took place between 66 and 72 AD, and was led by several different generals, under the rule of several different Roman emperors (there was a lot of turnover in Rome during that time).
