Luke 8:55 says her spirit returned, therefore her spirit had left her - she was truly dead.
This healing was not something they could see, but her body was being transformed inside her to work again - and not only that, but whatever was ailing her was removed (we forget about that!).
We, too, can have great amazement today, when we trust God and watch Him work.
