Mark 9:20

The spirit knew he was in trouble, and fought to avoid Jesus. Why? Because He was not right with God. I wonder if Christians more often avoid church because of things in their life that are not right rather than just disinterest or laziness. What do you think?
Demon possession seemed common in Jesus' day. Now, any time someone is troubled, it is always a mental problem. Sometimes they might say the person "has demons", but that is only a figure of speech, possibly for some who have multiple personality disorder. James 5:15-16 says that some sickness is causes by sin, which means some sicknesses can be healing either by becoming a Christian or by fixing your relationship with God. Getting right with God might actually remove demons from having influence.
