Philemon 1:9 - Additional Comments

Paul's mention that he is aged, and also a prisoner, is calculated to gain the approval sought from Philemon. Paul probably was nearly sixty years old.
His status as a "helpless" prisoner made his appeal all the more weighty upon Philemon.
Look at all Paul accomplished while in prison. This should motivate us to drop our excuses to do things for God.
