Philippians 1:6 - Additional Comments
What a great description of how God works with us.
First, since the Philippians were willing and open to His leading, God was working with them to perform a good work.
Second, the work that God began in them He would continue to perform throughout their lives.
Note that any work we do for God, God is actually the author of the work. He is enabling it and working with it.
God has a passion for us and for the work we do for Him. Not only does He work with us to initiate this work, but He promises to stay with us, helping us, throughout our lives.
We may feel helpless, alone, and weak as we try to do things for God, but we need to understand that not only is He working with us, He is authoring the works.
