Proverbs 22:5

Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.

Translations

Thorns and snares are in the way of the obstinate {and} willful; he who guards himself will be far from them.

Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse: He that keepeth his soul shall be far from them.

Thorns and nets are in the way of the twisted: he who keeps watch over his soul will be far from them.

Thorns [and] snares are in the way of the perverse: he that keepeth his soul holdeth himself far from them.

Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked; whoever guards his soul will keep far from them.

Espinos y lazos hay en el camino del perverso;
el que cuida su alma se alejará de ellos.

The perverse travel a dangerous road, potholed and mud-slick;
if you know what’s good for you, stay clear of it.

Thorns and snares are in the path of the wicked: Whoever guards his soul stays from them.
