If we delight in God's word, we follow it.
We will be light in darkness. We will stand out, as a beacon, amidst corruption and debauchery of the world. Is your integrity so strong and unwavering that others know it so well, there is little question to them how you will react in marginal situations, where you might be tempted to give in?
We become gracious. We give others grace even when they don't deserve it. We serve others, whether they are worthy or not.
We will have compassion - we care for others, regardless of who. Do you have compassion on only those who are kind to you?
Mat 5:46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?"
Mat 5:47 "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?"
