Verses 1-2 tell us that the gospel was revealed by the prophets, and verses 3-4 give us what this gospel is usus, the Christ, Lord, a son of man, from the house of David (Luke 1:27p, 2:4), was declared to be the Son of God through His resurrection from the dead. This is key, because this is what distinguishes Him from every other leader who claimed divinity.
