Ezra 7:23 Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it diligently be done for the house of the God of heaven. For why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
Psa 119:4 You have commanded us To keep Your precepts diligently.
Prov 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
We are encouraged to be fervent in spirit. "Fervent" in the Greek implies boiling water - very active. We are to be very active in our spirit, which is where we communicate with God, and where we learn from the Holy Spirit as He speaks to our conscience. Agressively pay attention to what and how God is working in your spirit.
Interesting it encourages us to serve the Lord. As we serve others, we are serving the Lord.
