Romans 15:8

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

Jesus came to the Jews to reveal the truth of God, which is the fulfillment of the promises.
Jesus was also sent to the Gentiles (verse 9), to give them mercy, for they did not have the promises. What else can result except to praise His name for His mercy? (verses 9-12)
