Zechariah 4:2 - Additional Comments

Here is a vision given to Zechariah, the fifth in this book. The vision is further detailed in verses 11-12. This vision is explained, kind of, in verses 10-14.
What are the 7 lamps, each with a pipe? There are 7 who rejoice to see the temple being rebuilt under Zerubbabel's supervision (vs 10). These are the eyes of the Lord. This may mean 7 of His angels, or a collective symbol of His omnipresence.
The lampstand represents God, and the 2 olive trees represent "the two anointed ones", literally meaning "the two sons of fresh oil". Somehow these 2 olive trees feed into the lampstand (verse 12), which means the two anointed ones are regularly giving something to God. Many believe these 2 are Joshua and Zerubbabel, feeding God with the building of Jerusalem and the temple
