Oh, SEÑOR, ¿no buscan tus ojos la verdad?
Tù los heriste,
mas no les doliò;
tù los consumiste,
mas ellos rehusaron recibir correcciòn.
Endurecieron sus rostros más que la roca,
rehusaron arrepentirse.
Jeremiah 5:3 - The Message
But you, God,
you have an eye for truth, dont you?
You hit them hard, but it didnt faze them.
You disciplined them, but they refused correction.
Hardheaded, harder than rock,
they wouldnt change.
Then I said to myself, "Well, these are just poor people.
They dont know any better.
They were never taught anything about God.
They never went to prayer meetings.
Ill find some people from the best families.
Ill talk to them.
Theyll know whats going on, the way God works.
Theyll know the score."
But they were no better! Rebels all!
Off doing their own thing.
The invaders are ready to pounce and kill,
like a mountain lion, a wilderness wolf,
Panthers on the prowl.
The streets arent safe anymore.
And why? Because the peoples sins are piled sky-high;
their betrayals are past counting.
Jeremiah 5:3 - New American Standard Bible

How hard they have become. God has punished them over and over again, to wake them up, to get them to come back to Him. But they are so hardened, they refuse to come back to Him.
