And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Luke 4:8 - Additional Comments
Jesus was not requiring Satan to obey Him at this point, because Satan hung around to tempt Him again. But, by saying this, Jesus was making it evident His distaste and disregard for Satan's request. We, in the same way, must toss aside temptations, without debating its merits or sinfulness.
