Jesus is going back to God. Even though they didn't ask, I'm sure they were wondering where He was going. It seems they were still expecting Him to become king!
Jesus went away by choice.
I wonder if the apostles were often confused by what Jesus would say, so they got used to not pursuing with questions things that puzzled them.
