Acts 8:19

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

Translations

Saying, Grant me also this power {and} authority, in order that anyone on whom I place my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.

saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.

Give me this power, so that when I put my hands on anyone he may get the Holy Spirit.

saying, Give to me also this power, in order that on whomsoever I may lay hands he may receive [the] Holy Spirit.

saying, "Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

diciendo: Dadme también a mì esta autoridad, de manera que todo aquel sobre quien ponga mis manos reciba el Espìritu Santo.

saying, "Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

y les dijo: "Denme también a mì esta autoridad, de manera que todo aquél sobre quien ponga mis manos reciba el Espìritu Santo."

saying, "Give me also this power, that whoever I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit."

saying, `Give also to me this authority, that on whomsoever I may lay the hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.`

He did not want the power to glorify God or help people, but to glorify himself.
