1 Peter 1:5 - Additional Comments

What keeps our reservation undefiled? The power of God. His power is so awesome, so infinite, we can be confident nothing can affect our reservation (see notes on Romans 8:38-39).
This power of God is available to us through our faith for salvation.
"kept" means to mount a guard, as a sentinel, or as a garrison keeps watch at a post.
This salvation that the prophets had waited for was finally revealed in Jesus Christ (see vss 10-12). Then, in the end times, our salvation will be revealed, and we will them see what our final destination will be, and what a glorious destination it will be! (Psalm 31:19, Matt 25:34, Heb 11:16) "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard" what "God hath prepared for them that love him" (1 Cor 2:9).
