1 Peter 5:7 - Additional Comments

We are not to worry about our life, food, or clothing (Matthew 6:25). No good thing will He withhold from us (Psa 84:11). He causes all things to work together for our good (Romans 8:28). We are to focus on helping others (vss 5-6), and God will focus on taking care of us.
As a child relies on the parent to take care of them, to protect them, and the child therefore has peace, so we are to be before God. We must know that He is the ruler of every circumstance, that as we give our cares to Him, by His care and love for us, He will take care of us. We are released from our care. He will order all events so we can know He cares for us.
Cares can hinder our walk with God, and our service to Him, so He wants the concern for them removed, and He does that by taking them on Himself. The cares don't go away, it's just that God now has ownership of resolving them! They are God's action items, they are His to do list, so you can take them off of yours.
If you cast all your cares on Him, you don't need to worry about anything (Phil 4:6-7). And you will have the peace of God.
