Samuel heard God's words, but the others did not. It makes me curious how God communicates personally to people like he did to Samuel.
If only we could pick our rulers the same way - just let God tell us who should be selected! But then, look how many rulers, including Saul their first king, turned and did not follow God, even though God selected him to lead. Men are sinful, and many fall over time. What are you doing to prevent yourself from falling away over time? What can we do?
