Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honorable in thine house?

David wondered what sin he had committed against Saul that made Saul so hateful against him. The fact is there was no sin. Others saw this too, and commented about how loyal David was to Saul. They in effect are saying that it makes no sense that Saul and David will be enemies.
