We must have diligence to obtain these attributes. Those that are slothful in their religion will make nothing of it.
We have the basics, we have the faith, but now what? What do we add to that?
Titus 3:8 says those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works.

Virtue - the root of this means strength and courage. That is the only way we can fight immorality. Prov 28:1 says the righteous are bold as a lion.
Knowledge - John 17:3 says eternal life is to know God and Jesus
