Anything we do for God, we need to be careful that there is no boasting in it. That is sometimes hard, because there are noble things we may do that others will praise, and that truly are worthy of praise. But the moment we boast in these deeds, it loses its value. These deeds need to be done with grace - given without requiring anything in return, even recognition.
