That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 4:14 - Additional Comments

Christian's must "search the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things are so" (Acts 17:11). You either need to know the Scriptures from time spent, or need to dig in, to be able to discern truth from falsehood as we are bombarded with the things of the world.
We are to be mature, as described in verse 15, growing up in all things into Him. In all areas of our life we are to grow more towards Him.
Some false religions have "divine deception", to lie to bring you to their way of thinking. The only protection is a solid foundation in the Word.
