Exodus 36:2 - Additional Comments

We are to use the gifts God has given us for the edification of other believers:
1 Cor 14:12 Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.
The Spiritual Gifts listed in the New Testament are:
The Father (operative gifts) - Romans 12:6-8
Prophecy, Ministry, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Leading, Showing mercy (compassion)
The Son (administrative gifts) - Ephesians 4:11
Apostolic, Prophectic, Evangelical, Pastoral, Teaching
The Holy Spirit (charismatic gifts) - 1 Corinthians 12:1-14
Wisdom, Knowledge, Discerning of spirits (human, angelic, demonic), Speaking in tongues, Interpretation of tongues, Prophecy, Faith, Working of miracles, Healing
Regarding our requirement to work to make a living, God gave man the curse at Adam's afll:
Gen 3:17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.
Gen 3:18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field.
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."
So, admittedly, work may not be easy, but what should our attitude be? Do it for the Lord, any work we do (not just work within the church):
Col 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
Col 3:24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
