Genesis 3:7 - Additional Comments

Immediately the conflict begins, between the sin nature and what God wants. Before this the conflict did not exist in them. Now, in every decision, they must struggle, trying to discern which is correct, and then sometimes not caring which is correct. From now on, none will do good (Psalm 14:1-3). They went from perfection and sinless, to their righteousness being as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).
And, at this moment, the strength of their marriage and their relationship was gone, as would be for all their descendents.
Nakedness was now a shameful thing -- because of sin, now no one could look on another human with purity, so sin now required clothes.
