Hosea 5:4

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

Israel is wed to the Lord their God, yet they seek after other gods to the extent where they do not even know who they are wed to!
It is amazing with all the activity of God in the life of the nation Israel that they do not even know Him!
I suppose that's true today, where God is so active in the lives of people and yet they do not even know Him or that He is there.
