Jeremiah 1:7

God is telling Jeremiah quit making excuses - you are going to do what I command you, and say what I tell you to say.
God is just getting Jeremiah started early for a long life busy with God's work.
God is migrating Jeremiah from priest (vs 1:1) to prophet. A prophet not only must hear from God but also be able to communicate it in a bold and convincing way to the people.
