And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

Jeremiah 19:3 - Additional Comments
Jeremiah makes it very clear that these are not his words, but the words of God. And what words! - catastrophe is on its way, and such a one as to make people cringe when they hear of it! It will change the name of that place to "the Valley of Slaughter" (vs 6). See other egregious results in vss 7-9.
