Jeremiah 19:4

Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

Jeremiah 19:4 - Additional Comments
The cause of the great catastrophe coming (vs 3) is explained - the people of Israel have forgotten God and sought after false gods, even sacrificing their sons (vs 5) to these false gods. These sacrifices were not requested by God (vs 5). The land of Judah is now declared to be an "alien place", as it no longer is anything like the land the God had prepared for them, or that originally had people in it who worshipped God. It was now alien to everything God had designed it for.
