John 12:18 - Additional Comments

However, the same crowd who shouted "Hosanna" to Jesus (vs 12:13) would later in the week join the mobs calling for the Lord's crucifixion. Why? He was not the kind of King they expected. They were looking for a ruler who would solve their worldly problems.
Isnhat like us today? We are loyal to the Lord as long as He is solving our problems, but when He falls short in our mind we are ready to forsake Him.
Every act Jesus did was, and always is, for people's eternal well-being. If we fail to see Him as that type of King wenever understand His reign in our lives - and why things happen as they do! Jesus always has your eternal good in mind! Instead of getting disappointed or angry at God for things that happen, we should praise Him! Like the song, "I thank you God for unanswered prayers".
- Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- Isa 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
- Phil 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
You must accept Jesus as that type of King! He has one purpose: to present you to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (Eph 5:27)
