Luke 24:25 - Additional Comments
Jesus called them foolish. He told us not to call others fools (Matthew 5:22), but he was forbidding us to give in appropriate reproof, not from reproof at all.
If you just happened to be walking with Jesus (and not know it), and tell your understanding of Him, how would He react? What would He say to you? Not only must we know the Bible, but we must fully trust what it says. Are you doing both -- learning it, and trusting it? It appears these 2 knew what the prophets had written, but did not trust it.
Note that not only are we to trust, but to do it quickly. They were reproved for doing it slowly.
