Luke 24:32

Even though (verse 25) Jesus called them ""O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe", they did not appear embarrassed, but joyful. That is what Jesus intended, so He must have worked the events and conversation for that result.
Note they did not compare notes from when they were together, but hearts. Jesus may speak to our mind, but most significantly to our hearts.
May our hearts burn within us when we are with Jesus, and hear His word. See Jer 15:16, 20:9, Heb 4:12.
