The Greek word here for power indicates both strength and authority.
This is an interesting title that Jesus proclaims for Himself - Son of Man. This was a title that implied his divinity (Dan 7:13) and humanity, without directly declaring yet He is the Messiah.
The book of Mark starts out declaring Jesus as the Son of God, because that declaration is to the audience of the book. In Mark 3:11-12, the unclean spirits declare Jesus as the Son of God, and Jesus warns them not to make Him known yet. So, at this time in His ministry, Jesus is just using the term "Son of Man".
Jesus provided them with something to justify believing in Him - the miracle. We don't see these kind of miracles because Jesus has chosen something different for us - the history of Jesus, the Bible, and the church. With these we can justify belief in Him.
Therefore, obviously, physical healing does not need to accompany spiritual healing.
