Mark 9:29 - Additional Comments

Jesus had given the disciples certain powers. Why was prayer required? To extract this demon, more power was required than what they had. How were they to access this power? Through prayer. We need to learn from this lesson, as yes, there are certain things God has given us, that by His grace we can do without prayer, without He additional strength. But then, know this, that there are things we absolutely cannot do without getting God involved. And yet, when we pray, when we get God involved, we CAN do it. This is how God works. Without prayer, yes, we can function, but we are missing out on so many things we could do with God help initiated via prayer. Pray!
