Matthew 2:13 - Additional Comments

Being devoted and obedient to God does not mean we will not encounter adversity. Joseph and Mary were dead center in God's will, yet the had to flee from danger. They weren't told by the angel to travel to Egypt, but to flee to Egypt. Yet, God still would take care of them.
- Prov 22:3 A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
- Prov 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
- Ps 57:1 I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
