Matthew 21:1 - Additional Comments
This chapter begins the "passion week".
Many times he foretold to His disciples what would have this week (e.g. Matt 17:22-23 and Matt 20:18-19).
The law says for the Passover to be on the fourteenth day of the month, and the lamb for the Passover to be set aside on the tenth of the month (Exodus 12:3-7). Since Jesus is the Lamb who was slain for our sins (Rev 5:12), He is being set aside on the tenth, to be slain on the fourteenth of the month (Matt 26:2).
How nice it must have been to have Jesus physically present
