Jesus chose to lay down His life (in obedience) - John 10:18. That is the same as for us - God has a plan, but it our choice whether to obey. The same as a child to a parent.
Do you ever fear what God might ask of you if you told Him you'd follow Him? Look what He asked Jesus to do. And then, look at where the world would be if He didn't follow God's will. Where will the world be if you follow God's will? Years from now, what will you tell your grandchildren, or your prots, about this time in your life, or a decision that you made?
As He prayed, His sweat was as it were great drops of blood (Luke 22:44). There is a medical condition called hematidrosis. It's not very common, but it is associated with a high degree of psychological stress. What happens is that severe anxiety causes the release of chemicals that break down the capillaries in the sweat glands. As a result, there's a small amount of bleeding into these glands, and the sweat comes out tinged with small amounts of blood.
