Philippians 2:4 - Additional Comments
Ah, in contrast to verse 3, we can do some things for our own interests! But the difference is, we are to not do them with selfish ambition or conceit, but we still can do them. It is okay to have desire for things for ourselves (Psalm 37:4). But, not at the sake or disdain of others. And, as we seek things for ourselves, we are also to be seeking things for others. They need to BOTH be happening, not just the desire for our own interests.
