Romans 12:9 - Additional Comments

"Without hypocrisy" means sincerly, truthfully. When we minister to others, when we show love to others, this needs to be done with a sincere care for them. We should have a true love for others.
God hates evil (Zech 8:17, Prov 6:16-19), and in the same way we should, too. Not just have disdain, but hate it. And with the same passion, we are to cling to what is good. We need to bring good things into our life, and hold onto them with a strong grip.
So, examine your life, and look where you hate evil, and cling to what is good. And, where you should be.
Be careful. Without knowing God's standards, God's laws, and God's rules, we are easily decieved, because there are many things that God abhors that may look innocent or harmless.
The devil is the deceiver.
John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
Gen 3:13 And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
1 Peter 5:8 - "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
2 Cor 11:3 "But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."
But, what is the end result?
Rev 12:9 "And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."
Proverbs 5:3-14 describes how attractive sin can be, but how destrctive it really is.
As this verse says, Abhor what is evil, Cling to what is good.
