Romans 2:13 - Additional Comments
Why would the doers of the law be justified? Well, they are, except that no one can ever attain to this level of righteousness (i.e. "rest on the law" - vs 17), and thus the need for Christ.
The law is like an x-ray machine that exposes our sin (disease) but cannot give us the cure. The cure is outside of the law - Christ.
2 Cor 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become right with God.
